The group has no idea what to post so we'll just write random reflections!

Phoebe finally knows what rapid-fire means.
Justin thinks Cassandra Chui is interested in girls.
Gerard thinks so too.
Amanda doesn't think so..
Shahren doesn't like Hugh Jackman's facial hair.
Hugh Jackman likes Ya Kun Kaya Toast. So do we.

Okay but on a more serious note, we finally know what backgrounders are and they are a real pain to write. Kidding. We love writing<3 #writing4life

We also learnt how to ask interview questions!

We promise to find more news over the week so we can contribute more! And laugh lesser!(maybe)

Get well soon Ms Trudy! We will beat Nas up for you and break his other leg!

Amanda

Since Gerard started with an entrée, it is only appropriate that I end with a dessert.

So hi, my name is Amanda, 18, and I am the co-editor of the group. I volunteered to be the co-editor because I wanted to experience being an editor but I'm not confident enough so I took the next best position available! In short, I am Gerard's right hand man (Or left leg since he broke it. Oh wait I broke mine too).

As the other members have mentioned, our magazine is named Salt & Pepper. So let me explain our URL instead. Superevoo stands for Super Extra Virgin Olive Oil. It was one of the names we came up with for our magazine and it kind of stuck with us throughout. Another name we go by is 'Dem Guns', in honor of our editor's strong arms!

After 3 weeks of working with this group, I must say this is one group I actually look forward to meeting. We accomplish what we are tasked with and have fun while at it! They definitely make 8am classes much more bearable!

To more laughter and horrible puns guys! Let's go!! :D

Hi. My name is Justin. I have absolutely no idea what to type in this vast amount of space that i am given. I am currently 19 and obviously a male. My being is rather dull so i guess that is all i will be saying about myself.

I know that i am suppose to post about the theme and stuff so i shall do that right after this sentence. The name of the group's magazine is called Salt and Pepper. The theme, as one can guess by the name, is either about food or food seasoning. Well if you did so then you have pretty much put your thinking cap to quite a good amount of usage, or so it seems. The previous sentence does not include any amount of sarcasm at all, instead it only contains the amount of awe i am showing due to your brain's amazing processing abilities.

Here is where i fill up information about my role in the group and stuff and like the previous paragraph, i shall do so right after this sentence. My role in the group is the writer. I am in Writing Lab like everybody in my group so technically they are THE WRITER too but i guess i have to write a wee bit more or something along that line.

I am really looking forward to working with this group as they all have very cheerful personalities which will help to not only brighten up the outlook of the magazine but also everyone's day.

Hi. I'm Muhd Shahren, 19 this year. And that's as much bio I will give since all of you would most probably know me by now.

I joined Writing Lab because amongst all the other practicums available, I felt that writing was more of my forte and so I'm here! So far, it isn't that bad and I have good group members, whom I can communicate and work well with so I'm satisfied with my choice.

'Salt and Pepper' was just a random name my group members and I came up with after much deliberation. But we realized that salt and pepper had an interesting history so we've decided on this name for our magazine. In the group, I am the photographer, which I think suits me a lot because one, I have different types of cameras at home - Digital Camera, Polaroid, GoPro, DSLR. Hence, I am quite familiarized with the different angles to take a good photo. Moreover, I love to take a lot of photos - be it food, the scenery and even selfies. HAHA!

In short, I'm thankful to have this opportunity to work with such great and bubbly people in my group. I would always look forward to lessons because every time I spend time with them, it will always be filled with laughter and fun.

To my group members, let's do this guys! I KNOW WE CAN DO IT WOOOOOOO (:

aite that's all, muhdSHAHREN

I'm at an absolute loss to title this post because - I'm not exactly the main course of the group (OR AM I??) So I can't continue from Gerard's witty title.

Hi I'm Phoebe, and I'm 18. I volunteered to be the Designer of the team because I actually like InDesign + very much influenced by my seniors from the previous Writing Lab. My aim is to design a magazine and be as proud as my senior :-)

Salt and Pepper are indispensable seasonings required in cooking. They are added to enhance the taste of your eating experience and also what we aim to do. So hopefully it's written well enough to enhance the reader's appetite and be indispensable (every month you should buy a copy of salt & pepper) :-D

Very happy to be in this group because without fail, we have been meeting the agenda with much laughter and happiness. Soooooooo, hopefully it stays this way till the end of the semester :-) Also, I think I'm pretty up for this module (I kinda have to, I chose this practicum). Honestly hoping there'll be much adventures in store and here's to a great time!

x, Phoebe

Gerard Michael

Chips Ahoy! It's been a long day and I just found out that it is going to be even longer because I forgot my house keys. So here I am, stranded -- like a potato robbed of his couch -- with eyes struggling to keep itself peeled at a sardined McDonald's (I love you dinner time).

However with a daft snafu like this comes a silver lining.

See, as I eat humble pie (no money to buy apple pie) -- while using free WiFi -- for my absent-mindedness, I thought I'd make good use of this time to introduce myself as Editor for the Salt & Pepper magazine (a food themed magazine).

Now I clearly understand the roles and responsibilities -- thanks to the hand out guide given by Ms Trudy -- that comes along with being an Editor.

(This is the part where I say that I am up for the challenge and will have to practice good judgement, EQ and decision making during the course of this project -- but oh, look at the time!)

In any case, I'm definitely looking forward to working with my team. I'm sure we have what it takes to step up to the plate and egg on!

It's going to be a fruitful experience.
